About the role
The position is a limited term position and is contingent on funding. It will end September 2022.
Responsibilities
- Field work: Trapping, forest measurements, and collecting field data. (50% of time)
- Sorting and identifying insect samples in lab setting. (30% of time)
- Data Entry. (10% of time)
- Micoroscope work. (10% of time)
Requirements
This is a limited term position and is contingent on funding. It will end September 2022.
Qualifications
- Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate.
Skills
- Be able to use and enter data into Excel.
- Be able to multitask since you will be working on several projects at once.
- Flexibility in schedule.
- Willing to travel long distances to collect samples that are in various regions of the Southeast and partake in overnight trips periodically.
- Capable of performing monotonous tasks such as looking through a microscope in the laboratory for hours at a time.

Schedule
Monday – Friday. Schedule to be determined by Supervisor
