Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology seeks a Research Assistant or Senior Research Assistant to assist with laboratory projects or research studies.
Essential Functions
- Independently perform experiments and record data according to research protocols.
- Maintain and oversee animal colony management and animal husbandry.
- Solve problems using combined research knowledge.
- Analyze research results. Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data.
- Organize data search and analysis procedures.
- Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards.
- Afford assistance in designing complex data processing systems to analyze research data.
- Achieve assigned results for projects/studies, or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments.
- Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Research Assistant Required
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
- Required Experience: Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
- Additional Qualifications: Considered Computational science, biomedical informatics Techniques in molecular biology
Senior Research Assistant Required
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
- Required Experience: Three (3) years of relevant experience. Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
- Additional Qualifications: Considered Computational science, biomedical informatics Techniques in molecular biology
