We are seeking a Research Assistant to oversee data collection, data organization, and data management for research studies supporting a Principal Investigator (PI) or research team. This role will support the Sr. Research Project Coordinator in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to the adaptation of the myPlan Team intimate partner violence app for and with Indigenous youth in Montana. The position will use community-based research methodologies to support community consultations and youth engagement in the Fort Peck Community.

Responsibilities

  • Run routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Use standard tools and computer programs to review data.
  • Assist with data cleaning measures to ensure accuracy of data and preparation of tables.
  • Lead basic activities such as data collection and data entry.
  • May lead specific tasks and develop processes to ensure study activities occur effectively and efficiently.
  • May conduct literature searches to support faculty in research efforts.
  • May design and format papers/publications.
  • May assist PIs in writing summaries of papers for release as policy briefs or other channels.
  • Support on-site study team members in project implementation, recruitment, data collection, and data dissemination at Fort Peck, Montana.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collaborative and relationship-building skills, able to build trust with community members and leaders.
  • Experience working in rural and remote reservation settings.
  • Based in Fort Peck, Montana.

Pay

Starting hourly range: $17.65 - $31.05 (targeted annual salary: $46,313, commensurate with experience).

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
