Research and Operations Specialist
About the role
The Research and Operations Specialist (Senior) will conduct comprehensive searches within client repositories, respond to FOIA, Privacy Act requests, Congressional inquiries, and support Office of General Council investigations. The role involves running queries, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with customer guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Review, organize, and analyze documents for production in response to requests from various stakeholders
- Ensure searches cover the entire scope of the request
- Reduce or eliminate duplicate records/documents
- Document details of queries/searches performed and record the results
- Submit requests to the scanning team for documents needed for research
- Afford assistance with training newly hired search team members
- Collaborate with supervisory client points of contact to recommend and implement process improvements
- Work an eight-hour shift between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Occasionally provide surge support outside of normal office hours for urgent requests
Requirements
- Six or more years of experience searching/querying databases with the ability to quickly adjust to new systems
- A Bachelor’s degree in any liberal arts, scientific or technical discipline (equivalent to three years of relevant experience)
- A Master’s degree (additional year of experience)
- A driven self-starter capable of collaborating with client QA/QC staff and adapting to new processes
- Skilled in time management and prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines
- Goal-oriented individual with the ability to apply critical thinking and provide innovative solutions
- Experience with data calls and quick reaction tasks
- Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver a proactive and high-quality service experience
- Active Security Clearance
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have significant prior customer knowledge and experience, as well as a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Experience in the Intelligence Community is preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule
The Research and Operations Specialist (Senior) works an eight-hour shift between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required for surge support.
