Research Analyst

About the role

This position analyzes data, assists in designing data collection methods, and supports program evaluation and reporting requirements to facilitate the Research team’s functions within the organization. You will determine the type, scope, and purpose of analyses through discussions with management, lead designated research and analysis projects, and collaborate with analysts, advisors, and management to complete assigned work.

You will support other departments and external partners by fulfilling routine and ad-hoc data and analysis requests to advance the research agenda, program evaluation efforts, and data-driven decision-making. The role involves addressing complex problems with innovative and ingenious solutions, ensuring project goals align with broader organizational objectives.

You will direct and assist in preparing and maintaining narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned services and activities. Additionally, you will provide data analysis and data collection support, such as survey design, administration, and analysis, to the Research and Performance Management team.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and analysis projects as designated by the Research Manager.
• Collaborate with analysts, advisors, and management to complete project work.
• Fulfill routine and ad-hoc data and analysis requests for internal departments and external partners.
• Address complex problems with innovative and quality-driven solutions.
• Ensure project goals align with and support the broader objectives of the organization.
• Prepare and maintain narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files.
• Provide data analysis and data collection support, including survey design, administration, and analysis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree related to research and analysis, plus additional research or program experience totaling a minimum of seven (7) years.
• Preferred degree in social or behavioral sciences, psychology, education, public health, or policy.
• Preferred experience developing analyses and handling large data sets.
• Preferred experience translating between English and Spanish or Arabic.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.

Degree Equivalency Formula: Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience. Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
