Purpose
The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a part-time Rescue Partner Programs Specialist to support lifesaving efforts through various programs.
About the Role
This role is based at the Papago Park Campus and operates Thursday – Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and bring a collaborative, compassionate approach to their work.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate animal transfers
- Communicate with rescue partners and community members
- Maintain accurate records
- Ensure animals safely move between shelter locations and off-site partners
- Transport animals
- Support medical and intake processes
- Manage program data
- Aid with special projects as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years old
- Previous experience in veterinary field preferred
- Ability to perform health checks, TPR exams, and vaccinations preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience in providing exemplary customer service
- Experience in working with difficult or combative customers a plus
- Familiarity with cash handling operations is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer
- Proficiency with multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
- Must be able to handle animals in all conditions
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills required
- Must demonstrate excellent oral, written, and public speaking skills

- Regular attendance
- Access to reliable transportation
- Must be able to hear above the sound of the animals and be able to speak clearly and communicate well with employees and the public
- Physical Demands/Work Environment: frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; exposure to dust, heat, cold, temperature changes, wet floors, and animal noises, odors, and dander; most time spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment
