About the role
VIGILINT is seeking a Rescue Specialist to support our mission of providing medical operations and crisis management services to high-net-worth individuals, Fortune 500 companies, and government clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paramedicine and experience in special operations medical support.
Responsibilities
- Available for a 60-days on / 60-days off rotational schedule (three 60-day rotations annually)
- Support Rotary Wing and Fixed Wing operations
- Perform initial combat trauma stabilization, enroute trauma care, and CASEVAC to definitive care
- Apply scientific knowledge to human treatment responses in austere and limited resource environments
- Establish IV access, administer medications and fluids, and manage acutely injured or ill patients
- Prepare and aid providers during examination and treatment of patients
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret electronic displays
- Manage complex patient airways and pulmonary function using advanced respiratory/airway therapy techniques
- Conduct critical care transport missions for ICU level patients
- Document care provided and complete medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy
- May function in a leadership position and perform special staff functions as required
- Perform medical training and instruction when requested
Requirements
- Over 8 years of paramedic experience
- Pararescue Pipeline graduate OR Special Operations Combat Medical Course (SOCM) OR Special Operations Combat Medical Course (SOCM) AND Special Forces Medical Sergeant Course (SFMS) MOS 18-D (SOCM plus SFMS) OR Special Operations Combat Medical Course (SOCM) AND Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsmen (SOIDC) graduate (SOCM plus SOIDC)
- Five years of operational experience as a trained special operations medic
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (NREMT-P) certified
- Desired Advanced Certification (FP-C, CC-P or TP-C)
- Able to meet all CRC deployment and medical requirements
- Willing to deploy to various OCONUS operating locations as directed by the Government
- Able to obtain a US passport and visas to travel internationally
- Current Secret clearance
- Current ACLS, PALS, BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Current PHTLS certification
- TPATC course completion within 3 months of employment
- Previous flight paramedic experience desired
- Ability to lift 150 pounds with assistance; carry 80 pounds a distance of 30 feet and push/pull over 200 pounds
- Providing emergency medical services to include: initial combat trauma stabilization, ongoing field trauma care, and CASEVAC of injured personnel
- Providing Technical Rescue services to include: vehicle and aircraft extrication, high-angle rescue, confined space rescue, rope rescue, structural collapse rescue, water rescue, and wilderness search and rescue
