Paramedic Ambulance Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a Paramedic Ambulance Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in facilitating the organ donation process through the operation of Indiana Donor Network Ambulances.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the organ donation process by operating Indiana Donor Network Ambulances
- Performs safe operation of ambulance on critical care donor transports from donor hospitals to Indiana Donor Network’s Organ and Tissue Center.
- Performs safe operation of ambulances for transplant team movement to/from donor hospital/Indiana Donor Network/various local airports.
- Facilitates the donation process through donor airway management of adult and pediatric patients.
- Provides lifesaving and critical interventions to donors
- Completes all required chart documentation accurately.
- Completes all charts and chart corrections as outlined within Indiana Donor Network policy and procedures.
- Completes Pre-transport documentation.
- Completes proper documentation for checking ambulance safe operations prior to transport.
- Identifies needed supplies.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Indiana Driver’s License.
- Must have a state of Indiana licensure of paramedics.
- Must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Show competency of ambulance operations in at least one of the following: Certified in Emergency Vehicle Operations Course, Currently operating emergency vehicles for occupation.
Benefits
This is a part-time on-call position requiring a minimum of one 16-hour call shift per week.
