RES. HABILITATION SPVR.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises the daily operations at The Center, site-based day habilitation location.
• Interviews, screens, and evaluates day habilitation staff.
• Hires, trains, and provides oversight to staff and contracted direct care.
• Develops productive and stimulating day habilitation services within the community and site-based location.
• Maintains ongoing communication with staff and families to ensure satisfaction with service delivery.
• Provides staffing coverage when staff are absent or on vacation.
• Intervenes between individuals and staff if issues occur.
• Attends case reviews in a professional manner.
• Attends individual screenings.
• Reviews and completes Day Habilitation Plans every six months.
• Reviews and monitors progress notes and monthly summaries in the site-based setting as well as review the following documentation; Fire Drills, contracts with vendors, billing and all other site documentation.
• Reviews staff expenses sheets and submits them accordingly.
• Ensures staff are enrolled in required training courses.
• Maintains accurate case records by OPWDD regulations and standards.
• Supervises and works directly with assistant supervisor to ensure daily operations.
• Manages the fleet of vehicles at site including scheduling of maintenance.
• Conducts fire drills and oversees facility maintenance.
• Completes employee evaluations and regular supervision.
• Performs payroll and oversees the interoffice mail run.

QUALIFICATIONS

• OPWDD Fingerprint and Background Clearance; SCO Clearances.
• Bachelor of Arts in the Human Service Field.
• Extensive knowledge of HCBS Waiver Services.
• Must possess extremely well-developed social and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with team members.
• Valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance.
• Willingness to drive within the community and is flexible with work hours.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• The position requires oversight of The Center Day Habilitation site-based program.
• Oversight of community outings and classes are part of the supervisory role.
• The supervisor works a 7-hour shift and assists in other duties depending on staffing needs.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

• The position supervises Day Habilitation Specialists and Assistant Supervisor.
