Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain buildings/facilities.
  • Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product.
  • May be involved in new construction or modification of existing properties.
  • Receives customer repairs and maintenance requests, determines appropriate actions and assigns work to employees.
  • Captures requests for outages and utility shutdowns related to scheduled projects.
  • Provides input into the development of department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures employees maintain current knowledge of techniques and procedures.
  • Aid in meeting the business, financial, customer, service quality and regulatory requirements of the area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of college level course work in business, management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Four years of increasingly responsible facility maintenance experience including some lead supervisory experience.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.
  • Powered Industrial Truck Operator certification within 12 months of hire or transfer.

Preferred

  • Associates degree in engineering
  • High Pressure Boiler Operators License.
