Replenishment Buyer

About the Role

As a Replenishment Buyer, you will manage the inventory in the WDC for assigned vendors to achieve assigned key performance indicators (fill rate, days cost of sales, aged inventory).

Responsibilities

• Purchase and manage inventory levels of assigned vendors to ensure targeted fill rates are achieved.
• Analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities, inventory level, and replenishment strategy.
• Communicate with suppliers and carriers to arrange timely and accurate delivery of purchase orders.
• Identify and create solutions to a variety of inventory conditions to avoid spoils and aged inventory.
• Manage fill-rate, aged inventory, and expiry reports within assigned buyer groups.
• Partner with the category management team for seasonal planning and implementation of new items and any strategic objectives.
• Prepare reports and records related to buying and inventory activities.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes and best practices (material planning, logistics, demand planning, S&OP process, fulfillment, KPIs, and continuous improvement).
• Utilize various MRP software/platforms and quickly learn in-house systems.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Business Administration.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products.
• 2 years of experience using an MRP system (5 years preferred).
• Strong math skills as well as inventory management, product forecasting, and product purchasing/coordination experience.

Pay

Consistent with Massachusetts Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is provided. Final pay within this range will be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

• Typically Monday – Friday, 8+ hour days in an office setting.
• 0-5% travel required.

Physical Requirements

• Minimal physical effort required; sitting/standing at a computer for long periods of time.
• Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.
