About the role
Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, focusing on sales, parts, and service for various Caterpillar products including heavy and compact construction equipment and on-highway trucks.
Responsibilities
- Making sure the customer is always taken care of, providing superior customer service.
- Determining customers' needs to further assist them, ensuring the best rental experience.
- Checking equipment availability with the shop and scheduling maintenance to meet deadlines.
- Scheduling equipment delivery and pickup to meet customer needs.
- Administering rental agreements, including rental out and in dates.
- Recording daily logs of phone calls and customer interactions.
- Handling customer complaints professionally, offering solutions rather than excuses.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sales with strong leadership skills.
- A competitive nature and initiative.
- Enjoying talking to people, developing relationships with customers, and working in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills including Internet Explorer, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.
- Comprehension, speaking, and writing the English language.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the telephone.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Highly organized in a fast-paced work environment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or related equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Spanish language.
