Rental Manager - Truck Leasing

About the role

The Rental Manager at Murphy-Hoffman Company's MHC Truck Leasing location in Memphis plans and directs the Rental activities of the branch. This position oversees the Rental Department personnel to accomplish company objectives, including setting and achieving sales, utilization, and profit targets.

Essential Functions

• Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the efforts of the Rental Department personnel in the accomplishment of company objectives.
• Directs and coordinates all activities of the Rental Department at branch assigned, accomplishing objectives and defining sales goals.
• Develops a sales and marketing program to achieve specific sales, utilization, and profit targets based on current market conditions.
• Evaluates Rental performance against established targets and standards and takes appropriate actions as necessary.
• Appraises performance of rental personnel against established standards and targets.
• Controls Rental utilization through the analysis of market potential in accordance with established goals.
• Develops and trains Rental Department personnel to ensure objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Sales experience or recent training.
• Strong organization skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Available on call-out basis to service customers.
• Must be Company/Team-minded.
• CDL preferred.
