Rental Account Manager - Commercial Trucking

About the role

Miller Transportation Group is a mid-size, rapidly growing leader in the transportation industry that has been family-owned and operated since 1912. Headquartered in Mount Holly, NJ, the company operates several business units including Miller Truck Leasing, Miller Dedicated Services, Miller Brokerage Services, and Miller Dealerships. The Rental Account Manager will support Miller Truck Leasing in the Northern NJ area (north of I95/Princeton area) and will require a combination of account management and outside sales techniques.

Responsibilities

• Sell commercial truck rental services to businesses in the northern NJ territory
• Follow the company's merchandising plan in developing the rental customer base
• Work collaboratively with internal teams such as maintenance, lease sales, and administration
• Be knowledgeable in and around commercial trucking, equipment, and DOT regulations

Requirements

• Outside sales experience (required)
• Prior commercial truck rental experience strongly desired
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Willingness to travel within your territory as needed

Qualifications

• Familiarity with DOT regulations (preferred)
• Advanced degree (preferred)
