Responsible for managing facility rentals, birthday parties, and special events while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle administrative and financial tasks related to facility rentals. Administers all aspects of rental agreements. Works at Green Ridge Recreation Center/Splash Valley Water Park and reports directly to the Business Services Supervisor.
Schedule
25 hours per week. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends: Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, plus occasional weekends, mornings, or evenings.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with facility staff regarding scheduled rentals, birthday parties, and special events to ensure smooth operations.
- Engage with customers in person and over the phone to provide information about services, assist with inquiries, and ensure a positive experience.
- Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions for rentals, birthday parties, and special events accurately and efficiently.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, rental usage tracking, record keeping, and reviewing reports for accuracy.
- Maintain and update staff on product and service information regarding rentals, birthday parties, and special events.
- Coordinate room scheduling, set-ups, and facility arrangements as required.
- Manage office supply inventory, mailings, and other clerical responsibilities.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the revenue and expense budget for facility rentals.
- Support the evaluation and training of rental staff to ensure exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma (required). Associate degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- One or more years of customer service experience (required); two or more years (preferred). Sales experience (retail or one-on-one direct selling) is a plus.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license with good driving record (preferred).
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Strong ability to work with the public in person and by phone, including interpreting policies and resolving customer inquiries or complaints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other scheduling, communication, and reporting tools.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions, take initiative, and work independently while maintaining effective communication with supervisory staff.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a complete criminal history and Child Protective Services background check.
