Gamified Quests: Students complete quests that build real readiness, from exploring careers and colleges to obtaining scholarships, financial aid insights, and essential life skills.

Mentorship: Through Trail Guides, virtual guides support students through each stage, helping reduce overwhelm and boost confidence.
Security Engineer Responsibilities
Review technical designs and changes for threats, trust boundaries, abuse cases, and control gaps
Implement approved authentication, authorization, secret-management, encryption, validation, logging, and alerting improvements
Improve dependency, code, configuration, container, and infrastructure security checks
Support least-privilege access, secure defaults, backup protection, and incident readiness
Create reproducible tests, remediation guidance, runbooks, and technical documentation
Verify security fixes in approved nonproduction environments
Coordinate with developers, DevOps, data, privacy, and quality volunteers
Protect reports, credentials, logs, and participant information
Never perform exploitation, intrusive testing, production changes, or access expansion without written authorization
Qualifications
Experience in application, cloud, infrastructure, identity, or product security engineering
Strong secure-development, threat modeling, access control, cryptography, logging, CI/CD, and vulnerability-management fundamentals
Familiarity with privacy-sensitive or youth-serving systems is helpful
At least 21 years old and willing to complete screening and confidentiality requirements
