Remote Volunteer Software Engineer — iLevelUP Education Platform

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain user-facing features, APIs, services, and integrations
• Translate product requirements and designs into reliable, accessible software
• Review code, resolve defects, improve performance, and reduce technical debt
• Write tests and technical documentation
• Participate in architecture, security, deployment, and release discussions
• Collaborate through source control, issue tracking, and iterative delivery
• Help establish maintainable engineering standards and reusable components

Qualifications

• Experience with modern front-end, back-end, mobile, or full-stack development
• Proficiency in one or more relevant languages, frameworks, databases, or cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Git, APIs, testing, debugging, and collaborative development
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to accessibility, privacy, security, and responsible technology
