Responsibilities
- Create communications calendars, audience segments, message drafts, and approval timelines
- Create email, web, social, partner, and event-platform copy from approved information
- Cook up registration links, UTM parameters, accessibility, speaker details, and calls to action
- Send reminders, access instructions, agenda updates, follow-up resources, and surveys
- Maintain accurate dates, links, disclaimers, privacy language, and contact preferences
- Collaborate with hosts, speakers, sponsors, advisors, design, social media, and stewardship teams
- Track delivery, registration, attendance, engagement, and response quality
- Avoid urgency pressure, unsupported tax claims, or individualized advice
Qualifications
- Experience in event marketing, email, communications, nonprofit development, digital marketing, or public relations
- Strong writing, proofreading, scheduling, organization, and audience awareness
- Familiarity with email platforms, event tools, analytics, accessibility, and UTMs
- Ability to follow approvals and protect donor information
- Planned-giving knowledge is helpful but not required
About the role
We are seeking volunteer Event Communications Specialists to help us promote our clear, accessible Legacy Lounge educational events and follow-up resources for supporters interested in long-term impact for underserved youth and young people.
