REMOTE Litigation Associate - NJ and NY Bar
Job Details
- Manage all phases of the litigation process including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlements, and trial strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and to stay updated on recent laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop legal strategies.
- Provide legal advice to clients and advise on the potential implications of current and future laws and regulations.
- Develop relationships with clients and work closely with them to understand their needs and objectives.
- Participate in business development activities including client meetings, conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in litigation.
- Admitted to practice law in NJ and NY. PA admission is a plus.
- Strong skills in legal research and writing are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high caseload and to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal strategies to clients and colleagues.
- Proven track record of representing clients in court and winning cases.
- Experience with e-discovery and litigation support tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
