Pre-Litigation Associate - Of Counsel (Remote)

Summary of Position

The Pre-Litigation Associate – Of Counsel (Remote) at Jackson Lewis, P.C. is responsible for handling various duties in connection with pre-litigation matters including demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges. They independently assess claims and provide analyses to clients and carriers, and engage in settlement-related activities such as mediations.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the CA state bar and in good standing.
• At least 4 years of experience handling California employment litigation matters, including demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges.
• For Of Counsel level roles, at least 9+ years of relevant California experience and a demonstrated ability to operate in a first-chair capacity.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and legal research/drafting skills.
• Ability to foster strong collaboration across Legal Support, Operations, and Attorney teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
