Associate Counsel (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Counsel (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will support litigation matters across insurance-related claims and defense work, partnering closely with the Claims Department and other internal stakeholders. The Associate Counsel will handle a range of legal matters from research and briefing through discovery, motion practice, and trial support. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to case strategy, assess liability and damages exposure, and represent the organization in hearings and related proceedings. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $112,750 – $175,275 annually Responsibilities Research applicable laws and prepare legal briefs and opinions Provide opinions on liability and damages for the Claims Department Draft and handle pleadings and motions Conduct depositions and examinations before trial Defend legal matters at trial or hearing as applicable Qualifications 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance, defense, or personal injury Juris Doctor degree required Admission to the Texas Bar required Licensed in good standing to practice law in Texas Ability to travel for trials, hearings, and meetings Skilled in clear and professional documentation Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities Benefits Remote work option within a commutable distance to the office Opportunity to work with a reputable company in the insurance sector Exposure to a variety of legal cases Access to ongoing training and development Collaboration with experienced legal teams Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
