Associate General Counsel - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Associate General Counsel - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will provide legal counsel across enterprise clinical and utilization management functions, helping support strategic initiatives and the development of new programs. The position will partner closely with senior leaders, compliance colleagues, and business teams to address regulatory matters, manage risk, and negotiate key agreements in a highly matrixed environment. The attorney in this role will also help shape best practices for emerging legal and operational issues while fostering important regulatory relationships and delivering practical guidance to internal stakeholders. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $134,600 – $230,800 annually Responsibilities Support Utilization Management initiatives across all business lines Assist Enterprise Clinical Services and Clinical Appeals with policy reviews Counsel senior management on strategic initiatives Proactively identify and resolve legal matters Develop best practices for emerging legal and business risks Support the development of new clinical programs Collaborate with legal and compliance colleagues Foster key regulatory relationships Review, prepare, and negotiate contracts and documents Qualifications Juris Doctorate degree required 5+ years of legal experience in relevant fields Experience with regulatory agencies and clinical delivery Strong understanding of health insurance and managed care Proven ability to provide timely legal support to business partners Demonstrated success in a matrixed business environment Advanced negotiation skills Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase options 401k contribution Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
