About the Role

Serve as an advisor and liaison to implement strategy and support operations, projects, programs, and service delivery outcomes. Responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of programs and strategic initiatives. Works cooperatively with various organizational levels to understand business needs and the interrelationship of issues impacting the implementation and delivery of business operations and services. Provides knowledge and expertise in programs and workstreams. In addition to Workday Help and Journeys configuration, this role also plays a vital role as a citizen developer for UiPath and Power Automate.

Responsibilities

  • Consultation Service: Provides consultative support to Trinity Health functional area Leadership in the implementation of strategy, operational services, and other initiatives. Proactively consults and engages operationally on development and implementation of programs and strategies. Provides business context to ensure consistency with decision support, communication, business administration, and the development and use of business tools.
  • Operational Expertise: Provides leadership, direction, and oversight of workstreams. Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of processes, policies, and procedures. Ensures processes, policies, and procedures are communicated, implemented, and aligned. Serves as a technical resource for business operational services, issue resolution, and implementation of recommended actions. Facilitates and develops processes and tools. Provides escalated support, guidance, and training to department members (remotely and on-site) to use new technologies and applications, as well as to improve knowledge of existing ones. Identifies organizational improvements needed, develops systems to implement those changes, and trains appropriate staff.
  • Project Management: Manages and implements small to medium-scale projects, programs, and initiatives. Develops and manages aligned production, communications, service delivery plans, and workflows to ensure plans are successfully implemented and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to specifications. Conducts informational training sessions with groups of various sizes and backgrounds.
  • Data Management & Analysis: Researches and compiles information to support ad-hoc operational projects and initiatives. Synthesizes and analyzes data and provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends and recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy and supporting leadership decision-making. Leverages program and operational data and measurements to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts. Develops and monitors data analysis and reporting systems and communication tools.
  • Systems Support & Configuration: Delivers hands-on configuration, administration, and ongoing support for Workday modules including Workday Help and Workday Journeys, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with organizational needs. Designs and updates workflows, manages content, and tailors user experiences to support employee engagement and self-service. Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves system access and technical issues by partnering closely with Technology and Information Services (TIS) and external Workday support teams or vendors. Develops, maintains, and executes comprehensive testing scenarios to validate system functionality during new implementations, feature releases, and routine updates.
  • Technology Enablement & Visualization: Develops clear visualizations and demonstrations to illustrate technical outcomes and support informed decision-making. Assists in change management efforts related to system rollouts and upgrades by translating complex technology into user-friendly content. Provides specialized guidance as required for integration, architecture, system selection, strategy, electronic health and/or financial records, systems implementations, and process transformation.
  • Project & Issue Management: Supports or represents the department on technology-related projects, serving as a subject matter expert and operational voice. Maintains a centralized log of outstanding technical issues and works collaboratively with TIS, implementation partners, and vendors to track and resolve them. Supports project planning, status tracking, and timely follow-ups under the direction of the department manager. Provides critical analysis of data to support assigned programs, projects, and/or engagements and articulates findings to colleagues, customers, business owners, and all levels of management as required.
  • Technology Strategy & Roadmap Support: Contributes to the development and refinement of the HR Shared Services technology roadmap. Monitors trends, user needs, and system performance to recommend enhancements and future investments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Management: Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., process owners, HR leadership, TIS) and external implementation partners to ensure alignment and delivery of technology solutions. Participates in design discussions, planning sessions, and testing cycles with implementation partners and advocates for operational needs and usability. Serves as a key communication bridge to ensure consistent understanding of goals, timelines, and technical considerations across all parties.
  • Compliance: Maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior and safe work practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, HRIS Systems, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience supporting HR systems or enterprise technology in a shared services or complex organizational environment.
  • Experience owning end-to-end design processes, anticipating interdependencies, and coordinating and meeting deliverable timelines.
  • Ability to consult and collaborate with all levels of an organization to develop solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Experience with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting, preferably in platforms such as Workday (e.g., Workday Help, Journeys) or similar.
  • Experience participating in or supporting technology projects, including issue tracking and stakeholder coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Certification.
