We are looking for a remote, California-barred attorney to support a busy litigation practice, offering the opportunity to work on complex, defense-side cases while building hands-on experience across multiple stages of the litigation process. Both junior and senior attorneys will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Managing toxic tort litigation matters
- Attending depositions
- Answering discovery
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and pre-trial reports
- Performing risk analysis
- Reviewing medical records (though paralegals handle most of this work)
- Negotiating settlements
Requirements
- Active California bar license
- At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation (recently-barred attorneys may be considered with solid prior litigation experience)
- Demonstrated ability to draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Experience handling discovery, including preparing responses and reviewing case information
- Strong legal research, briefing, and analytical skills
- Prior exposure to toxic tort or product liability cases is preferred
