REMOTE CA-Barred Attorney

We are looking for a remote, California-barred attorney to support a busy litigation practice, offering the opportunity to work on complex, defense-side cases while building hands-on experience across multiple stages of the litigation process. Both junior and senior attorneys will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Managing toxic tort litigation matters
• Attending depositions
• Answering discovery
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and pre-trial reports
• Performing risk analysis
• Reviewing medical records (though paralegals handle most of this work)
• Negotiating settlements

Requirements

• Active California bar license
• At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation (recently-barred attorneys may be considered with solid prior litigation experience)
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents
• Experience handling discovery, including preparing responses and reviewing case information
• Strong legal research, briefing, and analytical skills
• Prior exposure to toxic tort or product liability cases is preferred
