About the Role

The State Level Attorney is responsible for ensuring client success at the litigation level including preparation for and through trial.

Responsibilities

• Review and approval of new claims within the Attorney's jurisdiction(s), including meeting state-level goals for consistent case movement.
• Under the direction of the Managing Attorney/Regional Attorney, assist with management and supervision of jurisdictional inventory, including exception and queue management.
• Conduct document review and discovery.
• Execute documents requiring Attorney's signature.
• Communicate with Managing Attorney/Regional Attorney and clients to discuss details of cases.
• Assist in responding to litigation-specific components of all client audits.
• Monitor relevant legal rules, regulations, statutes, and case law.
• Conduct research and analysis of legal problems.
• Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Prepare and file legal documents.
• Manage and resolve collection litigation.
• Work with Pro Se litigants, opposing counsel, or other interested parties to settle files throughout the litigation process.
• Oversee and interact with outside collections and defense counsel.
• Support corporate compliance with laws and regulations governing debt collection and related activities.
• All other duties as assigned by the Managing Attorney or Regional Attorney.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association (ABA) with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Licensed to practice law.
• Demonstrated case analysis ability and a track record of proven settlement skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in internet and online research.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, scanner, and computer.

Pay

$100,000 - $140,000 base salary plus $2,000/month in commissions.
