About the role
The Remediation Foreman leads field crews in environmental remediation and civil construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and project success. This hands-on position involves directing operations, managing personnel, equipment, and subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise up to six personnel
- Coordinate daily site activities
- Interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Install and troubleshoot remediation systems (e.g., groundwater treatment, vapor mitigation)
- Oversee excavation and utility work
- Operate construction equipment
- Manage site logistics
- Conduct safety meetings
- Complete field documentation
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma
- 3–5 years leadership experience in environmental or civil construction
- Proficiency in blueprints and site operations
- Strong safety knowledge
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel
Preferred skills include remediation system experience, OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, CDL, and equipment certifications.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Regular fieldwork requiring physical activity such as lifting, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces and various weather conditions. Proper PPE use and safety adherence are mandatory.
