About the role
The Remediation Foreman is a hands-on leader responsible for directing field crews, coordinating daily site operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards across environmental remediation and civil construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead field crews of up to six personnel.
- Read, interpret, and implement blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain remediation systems such as air sparge, biosparge, groundwater recovery, soil vapor extraction, and vapor intrusion mitigation systems.
- Oversee excavation, utility installations, shoring, tank removals, and related construction activities.
- Operate construction equipment, manage site logistics, and coordinate subcontractors.
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate field reports, logs, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in environmental, civil, or industrial construction.
- Ability to read technical drawings and operate construction equipment.
- Strong safety awareness and hazard recognition skills.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as needed.
Preferred skills
- Experience with remediation systems.
- OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Familiarity with environmental monitoring equipment.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Regular field work involving physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces or varied weather conditions. Proper PPE use and safety procedures are mandatory.
