Remediation Foreman

About the role

The Remediation Foreman is a hands-on leader responsible for directing field crews, coordinating daily site operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards across environmental remediation and civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead field crews of up to six personnel.
• Read, interpret, and implement blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain remediation systems such as air sparge, biosparge, groundwater recovery, soil vapor extraction, and vapor intrusion mitigation systems.
• Oversee excavation, utility installations, shoring, tank removals, and related construction activities.
• Operate construction equipment, manage site logistics, and coordinate subcontractors.
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate field reports, logs, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in environmental, civil, or industrial construction.
• Ability to read technical drawings and operate construction equipment.
• Strong safety awareness and hazard recognition skills.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as needed.

Preferred skills

• Experience with remediation systems.
• OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring equipment.

Physical & Environmental Demands

Regular field work involving physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces or varied weather conditions. Proper PPE use and safety procedures are mandatory.
