About the role

FiberTel is seeking an experienced Restoration Foreman to lead field restoration crews supporting underground and aerial fiber optic construction projects in Sacramento. This role requires supervising daily restoration activities, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety compliance, and restoring properties to pre-construction conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise restoration crews performing post-construction restoration work on OSP fiber projects.
  • Coordinate restoration activities with construction, utility, and project management teams.
  • Ensure restoration work meets customer, municipal, DOT, and company standards.
  • Oversee restoration of landscaping, asphalt, concrete, sidewalks, curbs, and other hardscape features.
  • Perform quality control duties per job site.
  • Participate in required supervisor meetings.
  • Ensure team members are aware of quality, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Assist in training supervisors, foremen, and crew members.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with workers, customers, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and verify work completion.
  • Ensure job site safety compliance.
  • Mediate disputes or complaints with third parties.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in restoration, utility construction, telecommunications, civil construction, landscaping, or a related field.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible and willing to obtain one.
  • Good driving record required.
  • Basic knowledge of operating utility trucks and equipment safely.
  • Basic knowledge of using hand tools and equipment safely.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus (higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.

Pay

$32–38/hour, depending on experience.
