Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service through execution of patient care standards.
• Serves as a friendly point of contact, escorting customers to products and offering appropriate OTC recommendations.
• Ensures accurate prescription dispensing and consults with patients as needed.
• Manages pharmacy operations, supervising technicians, interns, and clerks.
• Adheres to state and federal laws and company policies regarding pharmaceutical sales and dispensing.
• Maintains compliance with HIPAA standards and handles hazardous drugs safely.
• Maintains inventory levels and adheres to DAS guidelines.
• Reports to work on time and follows company guidelines for personal hygiene and appearance.
• Handles hazardous drugs and performs daily tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• College degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
• Passes NAPLEX and State MPJE.
• Holds a valid state pharmacy license.
• Maintains certification as a Certified Immunizer.
• Completes required continuing education hours.
• Completes all required training programs.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, use office equipment, and follow instructions.
• Visual acuity, color vision, and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina for standing and moving around.

Secondary Job Functions

• Files paperwork and keeps the pharmacy area clean and organized.
• Restocks shelves and removes trash.
• Attends company meetings and communicates effectively.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Physical Environment

• Primarily works in a store setting.
• Requires frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
• Exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, and equipment movement hazards.
• Occasionally travels within the assigned area.

Compensation

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual pay will depend on various factors, including education, experience, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
