Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service through execution of patient care standards.
- Sincerely greets and thanks each customer, inviting them to return.
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, making appropriate OTC recommendations, securing items, and enhancing the shopping experience.
- Fills prescriptions accurately and appropriately, adhering to all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Consults with patients professionally, complying with state and federal laws.
- Communicates and collaborates with peers, managers, physicians, and customers in various pharmacy-related areas.
- Maintains accurate record-keeping and complies with legal regulations regarding controlled substances.
- Supervises pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
- Handles hazardous drugs safely and follows standard operating procedures.
- Maintains inventory levels and adheres to company guidelines related to personal hygiene, dress code, and Department Appearance Standards.
- Reports to work on schedule and handles emergencies as needed.
- Maintains strict adherence to company guidelines related to personal hygiene, dress code, and Department Appearance Standards (DAS).
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
- Hazardous drug handling.
- Complies with standard operating procedures in handling and dispensing of hazardous drugs.
Job Requirements
- Relevant experience, education, certification, knowledge, and skills.
- College degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
- Passes the NAPLEX and State MPJE.
- Holds a valid state license.
- Meets immunization requirements.
- Completes continuing education hours.
- Completes all required state, federal, and company training programs.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, use Microsoft Office, and demonstrate good judgment.
- Physical requirements: ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, twist, and reach.
- Visual requirements: clarity of vision, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision.
