Reliability Engineer

About the role

Take responsibility as one of two Reliability Engineers managing Air Separation, CO2, and Hydrogen facilities in the North Region. Work closely with reliability and operations teams to identify and resolve long-term asset concerns and reliability threats. Analyze data from multiple sources to recommend and justify lifecycle cost and reliability improvement activities. Lead Root Cause Analysis processes for major failures to prevent recurrence. Assist in engineering, design, specification, and execution of projects to optimize reliability and operability. Review and update Standard Maintenance Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures. Develop and support Reliability Assessments for facilities and equipment. Utilize continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma to enhance reliability. Lead reliability programs and initiatives to improve asset performance. Assist with critical spare parts identification and Bill of Materials creation for key assets. Balance office and field work with a strong sense of urgency and integrity.

• Support engineering, design, and execution of projects to optimize reliability and operability
• Assist with critical spare parts identification and Bill of Materials creation for key assets

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum five years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Proven expertise in maintenance and engineering of mechanical equipment such as compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies
• Experience in engineering, specification, and design of mechanical systems and projects
• Strong communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead or participate effectively in cross-functional teams
• Self-starter with excellent multitasking and organizational skills, achieving results with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in standard computer software including Microsoft Office and email

Qualifications

• PREFERRED: Knowledge of regulatory and industrial standards and codes
• PREFERRED: Certification or status as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional or Certified Reliability Engineer
• PREFERRED: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
• PREFERRED: Understanding of reliability strategies such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Spare Parts Management, Planning and Scheduling, and CMMS optimization
