What You Will Do
- Carry out and coordinate investigations of machine failures, analyze failure mechanisms, and implement solutions to enhance reliability.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify work practices and opportunities to prevent machine failures.
- Develop, implement, and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance routines.
- Manage lubrication practices, including selecting and storing lubricants.
- Analyze plant data to pinpoint areas for improvement, reduce downtime, and enhance overall plant performance.
- Train the maintenance team to improve skills and knowledge.
- Redesign machinery and components when necessary to increase reliability and decrease costs.
- Utilize the mill's computerized maintenance management system for managing lubrication and other maintenance activities.
- Plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Create and maintain systems for enhancing plant reliability.
- Apply technologies like vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and other predictive methods to improve the mill's reliability program.
- Identify additional opportunities across the site to boost efficiency, lower costs, and minimize waste.
- Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering degree, or a strong combination of experience and education.
- Relevant experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and/or trade experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated quantitative analysis skills and proficiency in working with applications developers, IT, and other technical domains.
- Ability to communicate and present data and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Maximo.
- Previous industry experience is preferred.
