Reliability Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Define and drive design assurance and reliability requirements to ensure products meet customer expectations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to conduct risk analyses and establish design verification testing requirements.
• Create and drive reliability improvement plans using warranty, service, and call center data to identify systemic issues, prioritize actions, and reduce field costs.
• Integrate reliability analysis techniques into product or program design objectives.
• Conduct effective Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Generate test plans and work with test lab technicians to evaluate product and components.

Strong Analytical Skills

• Support robust design with failure rates, modes, and mechanisms.
• Identify root cause of field failures and develop corrective actions.
• Analyze warranty and service data, including trend identification and reliability modeling.
• Collaborate with service personnel to identify and implement solutions.
• Work with purchasing, component suppliers, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering to drive reliability improvements in purchased components.
• Support reliability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
