Primary Responsibilities
- Define and drive design assurance and reliability requirements to ensure products meet customer expectations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to conduct risk analyses and establish design verification testing requirements.
- Create and drive reliability improvement plans using warranty, service, and call center data to identify systemic issues, prioritize actions, and reduce field costs.
- Integrate reliability analysis techniques into product or program design objectives.
- Conduct effective Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Generate test plans and work with test lab technicians to evaluate product and components.
Strong Analytical Skills
- Support robust design with failure rates, modes, and mechanisms.
- Identify root cause of field failures and develop corrective actions.
- Analyze warranty and service data, including trend identification and reliability modeling.
- Collaborate with service personnel to identify and implement solutions.
- Work with purchasing, component suppliers, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering to drive reliability improvements in purchased components.
- Support reliability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
