The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator at W. R. Berkley Corporation supports businesses with timely and efficient completion of compliance processes, data calls, and documentation of compliance activities. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Aid in the receipt and routing of consumer complaints and other regulatory inquiries, assisting with research and development of responses.
  2. Maintain due dates for timely submission of responses, ensuring they are complete and compliant, and confirm completion of necessary corrective actions by operating units.
  3. Support senior compliance analysts in responding to inquiries from regulators, determining the applicable operating unit, and preparing responses or coordinating corrective actions.
  4. Handle data calls involving Standard and Alternative Segment companies, managing the data call schedule, requests, aggregation, validation, and submission of information to regulatory entities, and resolving regulator inquiries.
  5. Monitor bureau reporting websites and NCCI for edit/error reports and criticisms impacting workers' compensation policies and unit statistical reporting, disseminating reports and criticisms to relevant operating units, and managing receipt and payment of fines and assessment invoices.
  6. Assist with monitoring monthly Bridger status reports to identify overdue alerts, investigate potential system issues or operating unit deficiencies, and assist operating units with policyholder and claimant screening, escalating alerts to Corporate Compliance when necessary.
  7. Manage the RRE recertification process for Standard and Alternative Segment RREs, confirming that each RRE is active and validating current contact information, and submitting executed recertification forms to CMS.
  8. Receive and route service of process and similar mail for Standard and Alternative Segment companies, execute proxies on behalf of the Segment Compliance Officer, and perform other related paper management tasks.

Qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of workers' compensation requirements, regulations, and reporting processes.
  • Some insurance-related experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Sound professional judgment.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to work under time constraints, and self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication with internal and external business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with a variety of personality types.
  • Minimal supervision.

Education requirement includes a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Salary range is $23.07 to $33.33 per hour, dependent on experience, knowledge, and location.
