Responsibilities
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance.
- Assess and treat both adults and neonates, interpret diagnostic data, operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment, and ensure infection control, safety, and quality standards.
- Conduct bedside assessments, review patient records, and utilize critical thinking for appropriate interventions.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to departmental policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NRP and PALS certifications within one year of hire.
- Licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
- NBRC registration.
- Minimum of 6 months respiratory care experience.
- Proficiency in respiratory assessment, treatment procedures, equipment operation, and data interpretation.
