Registered Respiratory Therapist Full Time Night

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. They demonstrate proficiency in respiratory assessment and treatment for adults and neonates, following departmental policies under indirect supervision.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies, manage ventilators, and perform diagnostic procedures
• Interpret clinical data such as ABGs, CXRs, and PFTs
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment
• Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities
• Contribute to patient satisfaction through effective communication

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Licensure by the Texas Medical Board
• Registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience
