About the role
Respiratory Therapist responsible for evaluating and administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities
- Consult with physicians to develop and modify patient care plans
- Administer respiratory therapies
- Support patient recovery
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with licensing and certification standards
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
- Current registration as an RRT by NBRC
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an LRT with the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA required or obtained within 30 days
- ACLS and PALS may be required depending on the department
