About the Role

Responsible for evaluating and administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. Collaborates with physicians to develop and modify patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and diagnostics
• Consult with physicians on patient care plans
• Maintain necessary certifications and licenses
• Work flexibly in a PRN capacity with opportunity for growth

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
• Registered as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an LRT with the Alabama State Board
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA (required or must be obtained within 30 days)
• Additional certifications such as ACLS and PALS may be required depending on the department
