Registered Nurse - Wound Care, Full-Time, Day

About the Role

Provides specialized care for patients with chronic wounds, assisting in advanced wound management and serving as a resource for healthcare teams, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and reassessments of patients' physical and educational needs under physician or clinician guidance.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care plans in collaboration with the team.
• Educate patients and caregivers on evidence-based wound care practices and promote community health awareness.
• Identify and address resource management and patient care issues, ensuring cost-effective care and smooth discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR, including product and charge details.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties if trained and certified.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience, with experience in skin and wound care; wound Vac experience preferred.
• Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or in the practicing state.
• Certification in Wound and Ostomy is preferred.
• Knowledge and skills related to wound care modalities and patient education.
