Registered Nurse - Travel - Progressive Care Unit

About the role

Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units. Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities. Administer medications and treatments, assist with cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort. Develop and implement patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments, and assist with cardiac procedures.
• Record patient assessments and respond to cardiac emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Develop and implement patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Current RN license per state regulations.
• At least one year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification.
• Strong monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessment skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle frequent public contact.
