Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients pre-surgery
- Educate families
- Prepare patients with medications and IV therapy
- Participate in surgical site verification
- Respond to emergencies
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Assess and document patient conditions
- Educate about treatments and follow-up care
Requirements
- Prior surgical experience preferred
- Circulating and scrubbing skills advantageous
- At least 2 years of acute care nursing for new OR nurses
- Valid RN license
- BLS certification
