About the Role

We are seeking a Night Shift, Charge Nurse to join our team at Vibra Hospital of Central Dakotas, located in Mandan, ND. This is a full-time position with 12-hour night shifts and a $20,000 bonus opportunity. Our hospital is a 41-bed Critical Care Hospital providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you can build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery of nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of individual patients.
  • Provide direct care along with delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
  • Coordinate nursing unit activities related to patient care.
  • Participate in patient and family education as needed.
  • Provide leadership and clinical guidance by working with and supporting nursing staff and other ancillary personnel.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary review process for patients, incorporating information into the plan of care and education plan for assigned patients.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
  • One (1) year of medical/surgical hospital experience.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Critical care experience preferred.
  • Previous Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
