Overview

Vibra Hospital of Central Dakotas, located in Mandan, ND, is a 41-bed Critical Care Hospital providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of the individual patient.
• Provide direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
• Coordinate nursing unit activities related to patient care.
• Participate in patient and family education as needed.
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance by working with and supporting the nursing staff and other ancillary personnel.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary review process for patients, incorporating the information into the plan of care and the education plan for the assigned patients.

Requirements

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
• One (1) year of medical/surgical hospital experience required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Previous Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
