About the Role
Rochester Psychiatric Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric to supervise registered nurses and direct care staff.
Responsibilities
- Direct and review the work of nursing staff
- Prepare and monitor staffing schedules
- Develop daily staffing plans for nursing care
- Ensure compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements
Requirements
Candidates may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they meet one of the following:
- License and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State, and 3 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders.
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing can substitute for 1 year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
- A master’s degree in nursing can substitute for 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
- One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law (for candidates within State service).

Pay
Hiring rate: $113,178 (includes statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 22, Increase Hiring Rate, and Geographic Pay Differential).
Job rate: $124,230 (includes statutory job rate and Geographic Pay Differential).
Shift differential pay: 7% for evening and weekend day shifts, 10% for night shifts.

- Background checks will be required.
- Maintaining a valid license and registration is mandatory; failure to do so may result in removal from the position.
- Eligibility requires not being listed as an excluded individual or entity on Federal or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists.
- If appointed, you may need to become an enrolled Medicare provider, obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, and actively participate in billing through Medicare and Medicaid.
