About the Role

Rochester Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric to supervise registered nurses and direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Directing and reviewing the work of nursing staff
• Preparing and monitoring staffing schedules
• Developing daily staffing plans for nursing care
• Ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements

Requirements

Candidates may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they meet one of the following:

• License and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State, and 3 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders.
  • Substitution: A bachelor’s degree in nursing can substitute for 1 year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience; a master’s degree in nursing can substitute for 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
• One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law (for candidates from within State service).

Pay

Posted hiring rate: $113,178 (includes statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 22, Increase Hiring Rate, and Geographic Pay Differential).

Posted job rate: $124,230 (includes statutory job rate and Geographic Pay Differential).
