Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric (NY HELPS), Central New York Psychiatric Center, Bedford Hills Satellite Unit, P28074

Responsibilities

• Directing and reviewing the work of nursing staff
• Preparing and monitoring staffing schedules
• Developing daily staffing plans for nursing care
• Ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements

Requirements

• License and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State
• 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders.
• Substitution: A master’s degree in nursing may substitute for 1 year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience; and a doctorate in nursing may substitute for 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
• OR Candidates from within State service may be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Pay

Registered Nurse Supervisors 1 Psychiatric are eligible for shift differential pay 7% for evening and weekend day shifts and 10% for night shifts.

The posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 22 ($86,031), an Increase Hiring Rate ($11,340), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000), and downstate adjustment ($4,150). The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($108,921), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and downstate adjustment ($4,150).
