Registered Nurse - Stepdown - Days

About the Role

Provides direct medical-surgical nursing care following established policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
• Establishes effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans using the nursing process.
• Assesses patients considering physical, cultural, social, economic, spiritual, and developmental factors.
• Coordinates care through collaboration and effective communication.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and comfort strategies.
• Acts as a mentor and promotes a positive work environment.
• Applies evidence-based practices tailored to patient needs.
• Performs point of care testing and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Valid RN license in applicable states (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin) with BLS certification.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
• Physical ability to perform lifting, standing, and other physical requirements.
