Overview Of The Nursing Role

The position involves providing patient care across multiple specialty units within a Med Surg Service Line, caring for patients before and after medical or surgical procedures. Nurses are cross-trained across various specialties to build a comprehensive understanding of different patient conditions, comorbidities, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards
• Participate in ongoing training and cross-training to enhance skills

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an approved nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in the state or eligible for compact licensure
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification or completion within probationary period
• ACLS and BLS certifications, obtained within 90 days of hire
