Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery Transition Program - Nights

Role: Special Care Nursery Registered Nurse Transition Program Responsibilities: Provide professional nursing care in a Level 2E nursery, assessing patient conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, and collaborating with team members. During a 16-week precepted training, develop specialized skills in neonatal care. Delegate tasks appropriately and adhere to hospital policies and Illinois Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor's required within five years if held an Associate Degree), current Illinois RN licensure, BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months, and at least 1 year of inpatient RN experience. Skills: Critical thinking, neonatal care expertise, teamwork, strong communication, and adaptability. Key Duties: Training with a nurse preceptor, providing compassionate neonatal care, and supporting unit goals.
