Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery - Nights

Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse in a Level 2E Special Care Nursery. Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care following state regulations and hospital policies.Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan, evaluate, and document care.Employ critical thinking and delegate tasks appropriately.Collaborate effectively as part of a healthcare team to meet unit goals. Qualifications & Skills Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if holding an Associate Degree.Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of employment.Preferably, two years of NICU Level 3 RN experience. Key Duties: Deliver compassionate, high-quality neonatal care, monitor patient progress, and work within a team to ensure optimal outcomes. The role involves night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
